IBM PC 5150 - 1981

Hi, my name is Bruce Flinn and I’ve been playing around with computers since I bought my first IBM PC back in 1981. A lot has certainly changed since that green screen, 256k RAM, dual 360k floppy drive machine entered my life. As time passed I knew there was going to be an affinity between people and these new devices. You see we are a curious lot by nature – always looking to solve puzzles taking things apart to see how they work and putting them back together again sometimes with newer and better parts.

That’s definitely true about automobiles as well which is where this blog comes in. I’ve been keeping a running journal of sorts about my 1978 Ford Pinto Red Wagon on my old web site devHaven.com.

The posts read like a blog but do not have the interactivity that a true blog has that’s why I’ve started this one.

This blog is also an avenue for me to branch out into social media. I’ve been doing a lot of reading and research and it is time to dive in. We’ll be exploring the main theme for this blog which is the question “Where are you going?” as it pertains to the everyday, long term and maybe even beyond. The journey is not only mine but is connected to everyone I meet or interact with in one way or another.

To that end everyone is welcome to comment and stir the soup.
